Job Description
Due to a secondment, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to lead and manage the financial operations of a well-established, medium sized multi academy trust in Leicestershire, on a one-year fixed term basis. This is a key role that will provide strategic financial leadership across the Trust, ensuring robust financial governance, compliance, and value for money in line with the Academies Financial Handbook.
You will oversee the full spectrum of finance, from statutory accounts and internal controls to audit, risk, procurement, payroll, pensions, and capital planning. Working closely with the CFOO and Executive Team, you will be instrumental in strategic decision-making, financial planning, and resource optimisation to support our educational goals
This is a high-impact role that requires strong analytical and leadership skills, experience in multi-site financial management, and a deep understanding of academy trust operations. You will lead the central finance team, manage relationships with external auditors and stakeholders, and ensure the financial strategy supports long-term sustainability and growth.
Knowledge of PS Financials and IMP Budgeting is highly desirable.
This is hybrid working with two days in the office.
