Degree Apprentice Mechanical & Electrical Engineer - 2026 - London

Working as part of our HS2 team, we are now looking for enthusiastic Degree Apprentice MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health) Project Engineers to join our 2026 development programme and help us shape the future.
What you'll do:
1. Assist in reviewing MEP design information supplied by consultants and subcontractors.
2. Support constructability reviews and contribute to design coordination meetings with stakeholders.
3. Assist the development and maintenance of MEP Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
4. Help draft and maintain Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
5. Monitor daily site works including attending start of shift briefings and Tool Box Talks.
6. Attend site inspections reviewing quality & quantity of install across MEP works.
7. Support planning processes by providing MEP schedule and milestone inputs.
8. Work with the commercial team for cost tracking, variations and change control.
What you'll bring to the role:
9. Ideally, A Levels including Maths or Physics or a Level 3 BTEC in a STEM subject.
10. 5 GCSEs at Grades 4-9 including Maths (Grade 6-9), English and Science or their equivalent.
11. You will need to be comfortable with Maths and Physics as engineering is built on these fundamental skills

14. Inquisitive and driven by a passion to grow and innovate
15. You must have lived in the UK in the last 3 years and have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for an apprenticeship. We are not able to proceed with applications that require visa sponsorship.
16. We are not able to proceed with applications from candidates that have already achieved a degree in a similar discipline.
What qualification will you be studying towards?
You will be studying a Level 3 Building services engineering technician qualification initially; however, we would expect and encourage you to progress on to Level 4 or Level 6 after you have completed Level 3.
