About The Role
Working alongside the project manager, you will provide administrative support to the Real World Evidence Unit and Biostatistics Research Group based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre. This involves being the first point of contact for internal and external customers, students, and academic staff, signposting and handling enquiries appropriately. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with general administrative experience looking to develop a career in a research environment.
A key part of your role will be managing mailbox enquiries, responding to or directing queries in a responsive and helpful manner. You will also maintain accurate records of activity, income, and project milestones, support in organising meetings and events, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
About You
We are seeking a candidate with existing administrative experience, ideally in a busy environment, preferably in higher education. You should have strong organisational, record-keeping, and clerical skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, and experience in data entry and record management. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively exchange information using various methods with university staff, students, and agents. Most importantly, you should have a passion for delivering first-class service and be committed to exceeding expectations in a fast-paced environment.
