Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.
Enterprise Data Sharing Solutions (EDSS) is part of the Enterprise Data Governance, Digital & Data Platforms (EDGP) organization, which sits within Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS).EDSS improves Amex data privacy & data sharing through the implementation of modern data sharing capabilities and strategies that enable faster speed to market while enhancing safe sharing connections.
The Product Manager — Third Party Data Scanning will support the activation of third-party data management at American Express through the enablement of our automated data transfer scanning roadmap.Coordinating across a diverse cross-functional group of teams and leaders, this role will enable the uplift of critical capabilities related to the discovery and control of data sharing with third parties .
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Articulate a long-term product vision, strategy, and goals with clearly defined business metrics and outcomes for the external data scanning platform
2. Communicate and build consensus across multiple stakeholders while owning and maintaining the Third-Party Data Scanning product roadmap
3. Partner technologies, TLM, and other cross-functional teams to define how Third-Party Data Scanning supports Enterprise Data Management / Data Lifecycle Management efforts
4. Be responsible for the progress, reporting, and completion of certain deliverables related to the Enterprise Data Management program
5. Liaise with and own relationships with teams responsible for third-party data risk program deliverables
Qualification Requirements:
6. 5+ years of experience of product ownership for enterprise products
7. Ability to distill complex and conflicting requirements into a logical, prioritized roadmap
8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
9. Understanding of compliance/regulations are preferred but not mandatory.
10. Attention to detail, with demonstrated proficiency in creating transparent, well-communicated, and scalable products and processes, while working with process owners to lead the implementation of those processes across a matrixed environment.
11. Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts & processes to a wide variety of audiences.
12. Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can combine problem-resolution, insights-driven prioritization, and ability to influence to achieve critical business goals.
