Level 2 Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the L15 area, supporting pupils aged 2–19 with a diverse range of needs, including special educational needs, visual impairments, sensory needs, and complex learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND. The role is to begin immediately.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with a variety of SEND
* Assist with learning activities, communication development, and sensory programmes
* Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff
* Follow individual care plans and behaviour support strategies
Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
* Experience working with complex needs (desirable but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
* Ability to commit to full‑time or part‑time hours
* Reliable, patient, and confident within a specialist school environment
