Are you seeking a unique opportunity as aClinical Fellow on a 12 month fixed term contract within the Interventional Psychiatry Service based at the Warneford Hospital Oxford.
It is particularly suitable for those wishing to intercalate a year behind CT3 and CT4 but is open to FY3/4 applicants with relevant experience and aptitudes, and to others at later stages of training.
This is a unique opportunity to gain experience of rapidly acting antidepressants, especially ketamine, associated group psychotherapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). The Oxford IPS ketamine clinic has treated over 500 patients with over 3000 IV and 9000 oral doses of ketamine and has a full programme of NHS and self-pay clinics.
Main duties of the job
Some of the duties include:
* Assessment and review for ketamine, TMS, TDCS, ECT treatment
* Administration of IV ketamine,TMS and ECT
* Teaching, supervising and covering ECT
* Co-facilitating related psychotherapy groups - relational psychodynamic and compassion focussed
* Sub-investigator on clinical studies

Job responsibilities
Responsibilities will be commensurate with competencies as established through external and internal training, including RCPsych ECT training events, GCP and research study specific training, ketamine-related CPD, rTMS training. The post holder will be supervised and directed by the IPS consultant.

* Completion 2 years NHS Foundation training
* 2 years experience working in NHS hospital
* Completion CT3 training in psychiatry
* Completion part or all of MRCPsych
* Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology, humanities or social science
