This is an exciting opportunity to join Ryburn Valley High School, a welcoming and ambitious 11–18 school with a thriving sixth form and wider school community where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a motivated and inspirational SENDCo who can lead, develop and enhance our provision, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to achieve their very best.
Job in a Nutshell
Lead and shape an inclusive, high-impact SEND provision that ensures every student can thrive. You’ll drive the strategic direction of SEND across the school, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements while embedding best practice in teaching, interventions and whole-school improvement.
Overseeing day-to-day provision, you’ll manage the SEND register, coordinate evidence-based interventions and ensure funding is used effectively to deliver measurable outcomes. You’ll lead and develop staff, providing expert guidance and CPD to build confidence in adaptive teaching and inclusive practice.
Working closely with students, families, external agencies and senior leaders, you’ll ensure needs are identified early, support is high quality and person-centred, and transitions are seamless. You’ll also play a key role in safeguarding, reporting and inspection readiness, ensuring SEND provision is impactful, compliant, and continuously improving.
