About the role
The team deliver practical environmental improvement and conservation work 3-4 days each week, engaging local communities and other volunteer groups across a range of locations in the North East of England and in the Humber and East Riding of Yorkshire.
We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable, motivated and committed person to join the team for this important post. This post holder will work alongside other staff on the delivery of a variety of practical conservation projects.
This role is a field‑based position. The key responsibilities include: Working alongside other staff members to ensure efficient and professional delivery of practical works.
Key Requirements
The successful applicant will:
* Have several years of experience working in the environment sector or similar.
* Be able to demonstrate an understanding of a range of practical conservation tasks, including tree planting,
* An ability to communicate effectively with people with varying abilities as well as children.
* Personal qualities of resourcefulness and flexibility.
Competency certification to operate a variety of machinery and powered equipment relevant to the sector would be advantageous although not a necessity.
Holiday entitlement for any work undertaken will be calculated quarterly and paid to you.
Requirement: Must hold a standard full UK Driving Licence held for at least a year and meet TCV driving requirements to operate company vehicles. A driving licence is required as the post holder has use of a company vehicle.
