About the Role
Leicestershire County Council is seeking a passionate community support worker to join our Adult Mental Health Review Team. This is a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred reviews in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Health Act 1983, ensuring that adults with mental health needs receive the support they need to live independently, safely, and with dignity.
You will work collaboratively with the person, carers, and professionals across health and social care to review care and support plans, promote recovery, and uphold the principles of wellbeing and independence to ensure the person's outcomes are met.

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
1. Be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England.
2. Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset-based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
3. Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
4. Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
5. Be a confident communicator skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertiveness, conflict management, and building effective working relationships.
6. Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
7. Have good prioritisation and time management skills and a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle.
We also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated these skills as part of the interview process.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
