I'm partnering with a growing UK technology business that is strengthening its engineering function and modernising its platforms. They're now looking for a Development Manager to guide a small cross-functional team through their next phase of growth.
This role combines leadership, delivery oversight, and light technical direction. You'll support developers day-to-day, improve engineering processes, and help shape the long-term roadmap - while still staying close enough to the tech to guide decisions around architecture, quality and best practice.

The Tech Environment (Broadly Speaking)
* .NET / C# backend engineering
* Modern JavaScript front end (React, Next.js or similar)
* Cloud-based services (AWS/Azure)
* Modern tooling, automation and clean engineering practices
(This isn't a hands-on coding role - just enough technical familiarity to mentor, guide and influence good decisions.)
The Role
* Lead, mentor and develop a small engineering team
* Support planning, delivery and engineering best practice
* Influence architectural decisions and technical direction
* Improve workflows, processes and team performance
* Work closely with product and senior stakeholders
* Drive a culture of quality, ownership and continuous improvement
