20 x Pipefitters Needed for Major Project in Devon
Position: Pipefitter (Shipbuilding/Marine) x 20
Contract Type: CIS
Contract Length: Long term programme, estimated 6 years overall

Start Date: March 2026 (second intake planned for June 2026)
Rate: £26.00 to £39.00 per hour
Accommodation and Travel allowance: £401.67 per week
We require experienced Pipefitters who can work to high standards in a working shipyard environment. You should be confident fabricating and fitting pipework from drawings, working across steel, stainless, and CuNi pipe, and supporting installation work in the yard, workshop, and onboard.
BPSS security clearance will be conducted, so you will need a valid right to work in the UK and be able to pass BPSS checks.
Pay rate:
Days
£2,163.17 to £2,387.42 per week (58.5 to 64.25 paid hours, depending on OT)
Includes lodge (£355.67 per week) and travel (£46.00 per week) allowances
Day core rate: £26.00 per hour CIS for the first 40 hours per week
Day overtime rate: £39.00 per hour CIS (paid after 40 hours, 1.5x day rate)
Nights
£2,506.37 to £2,730.62 per week (58.5 to 64.25 paid hours, depending on OT)
Includes lodge (£355.67 per week) and travel (£46.00 per week) allowances
Night core rate: £34.58 per hour CIS for the first 40 hours per week (1.33x day rate)
Night overtime rate: £39.00 per hour CIS (paid after 40 hours, OT is paid at the day overtime rate)
Working pattern:
Monday to Saturday
Site access and certifications:
Valid CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport (To confirm)
Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship
Experience and capability:
Pipe fabrication and fitting from engineering drawings and specifications
Experience with steel, stainless, and CuNi pipe of various sizes
Flanges, bolted clamps, threaded pipework, and associated fit up
Wire routing and templating experience
Basic knowledge of welding processes
Understanding of dimensional control techniques, including EDM
Experience with overhead cranes and lifting equipment
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Clearance and eligibility:
BPSS clearance check to be conducted
Right to work in the UK required
Project timeline:
The programme is expected to run for around 6 to 8 years, with the first intake starting March 2026 and a second intake planned for June 2026.
