About the Children's Community Health Hub
Launched in June 2021, the Children's Community Health Hub provides a single point of access for service users across various children's services, offering one contact number and email. We also support the Speech and Language Therapy Team with administration.
Role Overview
The Beds & Luton Children's Health Hub Administrator/Call Handler is the first point of contact for communication within the Bedfordshire & Luton Children and Young People's Community Health Services. The role supports services by directing calls and correspondence to the appropriate professionals, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
Locations
Work is based at The Poynt in Luton and Woburn Court in Kempston. The successful candidate may choose their preferred location.

Key Responsibilities
1. Be the first point of contact for calls and communication with parents, carers, and healthcare professionals.
2. Assess requests using NHS pathways and direct calls appropriately.
3. Prioritize and process emails promptly and calmly.
4. Recognize your own competency limits and seek support when needed.
5. Ensure follow-up actions are completed efficiently.
6. Complete administrative tasks on SystmOne, including record scanning, referrals, and appointment management.
7. Accurately record all contact information following protocols.
8. Maintain focus on service delivery amidst a diverse workload.
9. Provide excellent communication and customer service.
10. Handle sensitive information professionally, demonstrating resilience.
