The Senior Support Worker will play a key role in leading the staff team within the home while providing high quality support to individuals who require support. This position requires a strong team player who can lead by example and foster a positive, collaborative environment. Essential responsibilities include conducting staff supervisions, completing debriefs, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation which includes risk assessments and care plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members to ensure continuous growth and improvement as part of our expanding company.
Leadership & House Management
* Oversee the daily operations of the supported living home.
* Provide leadership and guidance to support workers and keyworkers.
* Act as the first point of contact for operational issues within the house.
* Ensure the home is safe, clean, and welcoming at all times.
* Participate with on-call for the support staff.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
* Work closely with the Operations/Registered Manager to maintain compliance with CQC standards and Ordinary Living's policies.
* Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes.
* Maintain accurate records, including care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Support & Care Delivery
* Provide direct support to individuals, including:
* Personal care
* Medication administration
* Meal preparation and household tasks
* Community access and social inclusion
* Attending health appointments
* Promote independence, choice, and dignity in all aspects of care.
Team Support & Development
* Mentor and support Apprentices / keyworkers in their roles and responsibilities.
* Assist with staff inductions, training, and ongoing development.
* Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in a senior or supervisory role within supported living or social care.
* Strong understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Compassionate, reliable, and committed to empowering others.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is required
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
