The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking an Office and Facilities Manager to join our busy Professional Services Staff team. The Office and Facilities Manager is responsible for the internal infrastructure of the building and for dealing with maintenance, health and safety and security, as well as providing support and advice and organising departmental events. They will have supervisory responsibilities over outside contractors and work with key stakeholders to create a welcoming and safe working environment for all building users.
The ideal candidate will have an advanced C&G / HNC / HND / NVQ4 or equivalent experience, along with an understanding of core project management principles. You will be able to clearly and accurately communicate processes and procedures, both verbally and in writing, and be an experienced user of Office and email. You will have previous experience in a building maintenance / facilities management role, along with a working knowledge of health and safety practices in the office environment. Able to use your own initiative and work effectively in a busy environment, you will also have experience of supervising staff. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and current COSHH and Manual Handling Regulations would also be desirable.

You will be based in Oxford as your normal place of work however there is opportunity for remote working (up to 40%FTE).
