City based, global Investment & Trading company, is looking to hire a graduate Business Analyst to join their growing London operations.
The Business Analyst will join the London OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) Department, part of the Steel Business Unit. The department focuses on supplying tubular steel products to the energy industry, with projects across Europe and Africa, including the UK, Norway, Denmark, Senegal, and Azerbaijan. The OCTG business operates across various energy fields from O&G to Geothermal and is developing a sustainable and digital supply chain management offering for its customers.
Main responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development and execution of global framework agreements with key energy customers.
* Assisting in resolving contract and business issues, communicating with the customer’s Global Category Manager.
* Promoting the Supply Chain Management (SCM) business model among customer operating units.
* Participating in global price negotiations and strategic meetings with clients and steel mills.
* Supporting the delivery of global contract strategies to regional offices to enhance regional business.
* Identifying new value-added opportunities outside OCTG sales, such as digitalisation, standardisation, and sustainability initiatives.
* Supporting business development through Energy Transition collaborations.
* Assisting in budget preparation and reporting processes.
* Supporting OCTG sales activities, including tendering, price offers, and contract negotiations.
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and corporate regulations.
Candidates should have:
* A degree in business or a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Experience working directly in the energy industry (Oil and Gas).
* A good understanding of procurement and logistics.
* Experience in international business.
* Knowledge of QAQC, HSSE, Risk Management, and legal aspects affecting business.
* Attention to detail and diligence in order and contract management.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills with customers and suppliers.
* Adaptability and willingness to undertake tasks outside the immediate job role.
* Back-office knowledge for international business, including SAP, Excel, Word, and basic accounting transactions.
