Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through outdoor learning and hands-on experiences?
Teaching Personnel is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to support pupils in schools across Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

The Role
As a SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support during outdoor learning sessions.
* Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
* Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans within practical learning environments.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and active engagement through outdoor education.
* Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, communication skills, and behaviour regulation.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent support.
About You
We are looking for individuals who have:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).
* Transferable experience from sectors such as care, youth work, outdoor education, coaching, or family SEND support.
* A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* A genuine passion for helping children succeed and thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
