Operations Manager - London - Permanent
An experienced Operations Manager is required to join a leading renewable energy contractor, overseeing the delivery of utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK. This pivotal role will manage end-to-end EPC operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and commercial awareness, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
About the role:
* £65,000 – £90,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits
* Monday to Friday
* Greater London (Kings Cross)
* Office & Site based – with option to work from home 1 day per week
* Annual performance bonus

What you'll be doing in this role:
* Lead all phases of EPC project execution, from planning and procurement to construction and commissioning.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
* Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams, overseeing engineering, procurement, and construction personnel.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual and HSE requirements.
* Coordinate closely with procurement teams to optimise materials, logistics, and supply chain efficiency.
* Oversee and enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
* Serve as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
* Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Manage project budgets, approve expenditure, and control costs effectively.
What you'll need for this role:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience managing solar PV grid-scale EPC projects.
* Proven track record delivering multi-megawatt projects on time and within budget.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6).
* In-depth knowledge of solar PV technologies, grid integration, and relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
* Familiarity with UK regulations and HSE standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
