Lead GP – Role Overview
Due to a new service commission, an exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a GP who is passionate about primary care and healthcare innovation to join the Spectrum Team. This will be a substantive full‑time or part‑time post, attracting many benefits of NHS employment, including NHS pension and time‑served inducements.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and support to members of the prison’s healthcare team.
* Work with the Head of Healthcare and North West Regional Lead GP to oversee the development and delivery of GP clinical services on site.
* Support the delivery of an innovative, digitally enabled, future‑focused primary care model through clinical leaders in Medical Education, Clinical Substance Misuse, and Remote Clinical working.
* Deliver a blended model of care comprising face‑to‑face primary care and complex case care planning as part of an MDT.
Qualifications
* Passion for the delivery of high‑quality primary care, a desire to innovate and transform models of service delivery, and a willingness to work as part of a transformative integrated provider team.
* Previous experience working within a secure environment is not essential; full induction and training will be provided.
