Role: -Technical Manager
Location: Shropshire- full time onsite

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm, Friday 6:00am-2:00pm
Russell Taylor Group are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking manufacturing company in Shropshire for a Technical Manager who is passionate about excellence, compliance, and quality. You will be the driving force behind the technical standards which will involve safeguarding product integrity, leading audits, and ensuring that they exceed every customer and regulatory expectation. Responsibilities
Champion food safety, quality, and compliance across all site operations.
Lead and evolve the site's Quality Management System (QMS) making it robust, agile, and audit-ready every day.
Take ownership of HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and other site standards.
Manage internal and external audits, regulatory visits, and customer inspections with confidence and professionalism.
Oversee supplier approval, raw material verification, and documentation control.
Drive corrective and preventive actions, product traceability, and recall readiness.
Ensure product testing, environmental monitoring, and pest control programmes hit the mark.
Keep calibration, training, and compliance records sharp and up to date.
Collaborate cross-functionally to embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring that they are always meeting regulatory and customer requirements.
The Person
Proven experience in a technical or quality leadership role within food manufacturing.
Strong understanding of BRC, HACCP principles, and food safety legislation.
Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
