Our client BAE Systems, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Contract Design Engineer to join their Defence team. This role is primarily remote with hybrid arrangements and involves working on the highly regarded Hunter T26 project at their Scotstoun site. The position is critical for supporting change management and impact assessments, ensuring seamless transition and production in the shipbuilding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on the transition from T26 to Hunter for Australian operations
Support change management and production-related issues
Perform impact assessments for project changes
Manage and support delivery of change artifacts from T26 to Hunter
Facilitate stakeholder engagement across the UK and Australia
Job Requirements:
Experience as a Designer for the Type 26 project (T26, Canada, Hunter)
Proficiency with Winchill, Foran, or similar
Strong communication skills for engaging with multiple stakeholders
Experience in detail design and product lifecycle management
Knowledge of change management and manufacturing outputs
Background in shipbuilding or a related field
