What will you be doing?
Caring for families is at the heart of what we do. You will be our families’ first point of contact when attending the scene of a recent bereavement. You’ll build relationships with families during a difficult time as we take responsibility for the care and preparation of their loved one.
Working within our funeral team offers a unique and privileged experience. You’ll show compassion and empathy on one of the most challenging days in people’s lives, while ensuring the highest standards of professional service.
You’ll have the responsibility and privilege to look after the preparation and presentation of the deceased, which includes washing and dressing them with dignity and respect.
Please note that from 1st December 2023, new joiners to our Funeral Business will be subject to a standard DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. All offers are conditional upon receiving a satisfactory disclosure from DBS.
How will I know if I am right for this role?
Working in our funeral home requires qualities and characteristics suited for this role. If you have compassion, empathy, and take pride in your professionalism, and if caring for the deceased with respect speaks to you, then a career in funeral care could be fulfilling. This is an extraordinary opportunity for extraordinary people.
Physical ability to lift and transfer the deceased is essential. You will work closely with colleagues as a team, supporting each other in various duties, including transferring the deceased within our vehicles. You must hold a full driving license and be prepared to participate in an on-call schedule across different shifts.
