Bespak are looking for a Financial Accountant for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this 12-month maternity cover, onsite role is between £40k and £45k. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.
Working Pattern – Mon to Fri – Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible; There is the option of hybrid working (2 days WFH), for this role, aligned to the needs of the business

As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key part of our finance team, supporting the Financial Controller with the daily running of the department. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the fixed asset register, and preparing weekly cash flow forecasts. You will also handle all intercompany transactions, prepare month-end journals for areas like accruals and prepayments, and complete balance sheet reconciliations. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in the preparation of year-end accounts and the annual audit. This role also offers the opportunity to help identify and implement new processes to improve efficiency within the finance function.
As a Financial Accountant, your duties will include:
* Managing intercompany transactions and raising relevant invoices.
* Maintaining the fixed asset register and capital records.
* Preparing and analysing the weekly cash flow forecast.
* Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts and audit.
* Completing month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Helping to develop and implement new financial processes.
Financial Accountant, preferred key skills and experience:
* Studying towards or ACA/ACCA/CIMA, qualified.
* Experience in group financial reporting or from practice.
* Previous experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with SAP and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent communication skills with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
* A solid understanding of accounting software principles.
