Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support, and in return, we invest in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support, and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you a positive and motivated person who loves going the extra mile to improve the lives of others? Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported? If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!

At our Peterhead services, we support vulnerable adults living in the community to live the best lives possible by providing person-centred support to help them live as independently as possible. Each person we support has their own support plan, which details what support they would need, so you can expect to provide support in all aspects of their daily lives. This might include helping with personal care, medication administration, financial support, attending community groups, preparing meals, and attending social activities. We are looking for flexible individuals who are keen to support people to try new activities and provide positive reassurance and guidance to help improve independent living skills. We provide support 24 hours a day from Monday - Sunday, and all contracted staff would be required to work some weekends.

Your values:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care. You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues. We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment, you will meet the people we support in their home, allowing you to see their personalities first-hand and understand their support needs. It is also important that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable - which are at the heart of everything we do to ensure high-quality, consistent care and support.

People's values are important to us, so we look for individuals with:

* Patience
* Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity to others
* A strong work ethic
* Reliability
* Honesty
* Determination
* A problem solver
* Resilience
