Our retained client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join a well-known restaurant, in a stunning area, easily located from Ipswich or Felixstowe. They have an excellent reputation for their fine food and service, and can get very busy, especially during the summer months, so experience with high-volume cooking is desirable. The kitchen uses only the freshest ingredients sourced locally and run a daily specials board to showcase the best of the produce they use.
We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef who is enthusiastic and creative, ideally with a Rosette-level background and experience in a high-volume kitchen. As Senior Sous Chef, you will be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly, and in their absence, take control of the kitchen. You must have a good working knowledge of every section of the kitchen and have previous experience training junior chefs. As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Senior Management team. You must have good kitchen management skills and be committed to providing a high level of cuisine and service at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a high-volume establishment
Passionate and eager to surpass the high standards already maintained by this establishment
Work well under pressure
Knowledge of each section of the kitchen
