Our client is a global exhibitions and event organiser, based in Coventry.
The business is constantly growing and expanding, organising trade exhibitions in Nigeria and in the UK. They are the leading exhibition organiser in West Africa with multiple exhibitions across different industries, such as
beauty,
automotive, food & beverage, and pharmaceuticals. In the UK, we are organising exhibitions and conferences in the healthcare and
beauty sectors
.

They are a small team growing over 100% year on year in staff numbers, and we are looking for the right candidate to join their dynamic team. This is a role for someone who wants to grow their expertise, take ownership of a key portfolio, and advance their career in one of the most exciting industries.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, and proactive
Marketing Manager
to lead the marketing for our beauty exhibitions portfolio -
Tones of Beauty (UK)
and
Beauty West Africa (Nigeria)
.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A deep understanding of the UK beauty industry
, including its trends, leading brands, distribution channels, associations, influencers, and buyer landscape.
* A genuine passion for beauty
and a curiosity for innovation and consumer behaviour in the sector.
* The confidence to actively network
, including attending meetings and events in London and other key UK beauty hubs to connect with partners, associations, and industry stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to roll up their sleeves and deliver.
This role involves planning, executing, and managing all marketing activity for the portfolio, from strategy to post-event analysis, and requires both creativity and a strong commercial mindset.
Key Objectives
* Drive qualified visitor attendance and exhibitor leads for both events.
* Build the brand presence of our beauty exhibitions in the UK, West Africa, and globally.
* Establish and maintain relationships with beauty industry leaders, associations, and influencers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
* Design integrated, multi-channel campaigns targeting exhibitors, distributors, retailers, salon owners, and other key visitor groups.
* Keep a finger on the pulse of
UK beauty trends
and incorporate them into campaign messaging.
* Identify and secure partnerships with industry associations, media outlets, and influencers to expand reach.
2. Industry Networking & Relationship Building
* Attend industry events, exhibitions, and association meetings (primarily in London) to network with key players and foster partnerships.
* Represent the brand with credibility, building relationships that can translate into attendance, sponsorships, and collaborations.
3. Messaging & Brand Positioning
* Craft compelling, tailored messaging for each audience segment.
* Maintain a consistent and distinctive tone across all marketing channels.
4. Data-Driven Marketing
* Set and track KPIs for each campaign.
* Analyse performance data to guide campaign optimisation.
* Use tools such as CRM, analytics platforms, and AI-driven solutions to enhance targeting and personalisation.
5. Collaboration
* Work closely with the Exhibition Managers to align sales and marketing efforts.
* Partner with the Senior Partnerships Executive and Social Media Manager to develop joint campaigns and partnerships.
* Brief and manage external agencies, ensuring deliverables meet timelines and budgets.
Key Requirements
* Proven understanding of the UK beauty industry
(essential), including product categories, retail/distribution channels, and key players.
* A genuine
passion for the beauty sector
and the ability to translate industry excitement into compelling campaigns.
* Willingness to
attend events and meetings in London and other UK hubs
to actively network and represent the brand.
* 3–5 years' experience in B2B marketing (event marketing experience preferred).
* Data-driven, KPI-focused approach to campaign management.
* Familiarity with emerging marketing tools and trends, including AI-driven content and automation.
* Willingness to travel
