This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to step into an Assistant Team Manager role within the Family Help Team, supporting the delivery of early intervention and targeted services for children and families. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of practice, performance, and safeguarding decision-making. What you will do Support the Team Manager with the daily operational oversight of the Family Help Team. Provide supervision, guidance, and professional support to Social Workers, Newly Qualified Social Workers, and Family Support Workers. Oversee and quality-assure casework across Early Help, Child in Need (CIN), and Child Protection (CP) pathways. Lead on complex cases, offering management oversight and safeguarding decision-making. Promote strengths-based, relationship-focused practice across the service. Chair and contribute to strategy meetings, reviews, and multi-agency discussions. Monitor performance, support audits, and contribute to service improvement activity. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant case recording in line with statutory and local authority requirements.
