At WICS, we sit at the heart of Scotland’s water sector: regulating for efficiency, transparency, and long-term public value. Our role is to ensure that Scottish Water delivers high-quality services and investment programmes that are sustainable, cost-effective, and aligned with the ambitions of Ministers.

We’re now looking for an experienced project management professional to join us as a Senior Project Manager This is a specialist role that blends technical leadership with public impact by supporting regulatory decisions that will shape how billions are invested in Scotland’s water infrastructure.

You’ll join a dynamic and highly skilled team based in Stirling, with flexibility to work remotely part of the week. If you want your expertise to influence long-term change and deliver real value for customers, this could be the role for you.


What you’ll be doing

You will:

* Have primary responsibility to manage the overall process of project delivery.
* Ensure compliance with robust governance processes.
* Ensure appropriate arrangements are in place with key individuals and teams to achieve risk, time and quality parameters.
* Provide professional support to the project sponsor(s) reporting through specific project committees and the Board.
* Ensure all necessary approvals are in place as progress is made through the key stages of individual projects.


Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully leading projects from initiation to completion.

You will need:

* A degree level qualification in business management or a related field or at least three years relevant experience.
* Strong ability to manage and execute multiple tasks and competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
* Strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple priorities.
* Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and leaders in the execution of tasks.
* Confidence and ability to challenge senior managers in delivering to timelines.

We also value (but do not require):

* Knowledge of the Scottish water sector and public finance framework
* Experience with regulatory environments or utilities governance
