Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Basingstoke Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time GSL Education are looking for dedicated individuals to work as SEN Teaching Assistants in schools across Basingstoke. This is a great chance to support children with special educational needs and help them learn and grow. As a Special Education Needs TA, you will work with children who have different needs, helping them learn, grow, and shine in their own way. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive environment where every children feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to the individual needs of students with SEN. Observe, monitor, and report on student progress and well-being to inform teaching and intervention plans. Encourage children to be confident, independent, and included in all school activities Carry out individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans made by teachers and SEN coordinators. Monitor and record student progress and well-being, and provide regular feedback to teachers. SEN TA Requirements: Proven experience of working with children and young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with the SEN Code of Practice is a plus. An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
