We are seeking a skilled Outdoor Instructor to join our team, delivering transformative outdoor experiences for children impacted by trauma.
* This role combines leadership, adventure, and meaningful impact, helping children develop lifelong skills through tailored activities.
* You will lead engaging and developmental outdoor programmes, collaborating with care teams, education, and health professionals to deliver high-quality, child-focused activities.
* Design and deliver tailored outdoor activities, combining fun, challenge, and skill-building for small groups.
The Role
As an Outdoor Instructor, you will:
* Act as a role model, ensuring safety and safeguarding at every step.
* Collaborate with care teams to create integrated development plans for children.
* Manage your caseload and time effectively, balancing a busy schedule.
* Play a key role in maintaining equipment, managing risks, and adhering to AALA standards.
About You
We are looking for resilient, enthusiastic, and skilled outdoor leaders with:
* Qualifications: Two-day Outdoor First Aid Certificate and a valid driving licence.
* At least three of the following: Summer Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor (SPA), British Cycling Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader or equivalent, PaddleUK Paddlesport Leader Award, White-water safety and rescue qualification.
