? About the Role
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you’ll work in the community visiting service users in their own homes, helping them live safely and independently with dignity and respect.
You will:
* Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
* Support with medication, nutrition, and hydration
* Assist with mobility and transfers, including hoists where trained
* Offer companionship and emotional support
* Monitor and record changes in health, wellbeing, and routines
* Communicate with family members and professionals where appropriate
What We're Looking For
This role requires individuals with prior professional care experience in domiciliary, residential, or healthcare settings. We’re seeking team members who are confident, compassionate, and committed to delivering excellent care.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 6 months' experience in care (domiciliary, residential, or supported living)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
* Understanding of person-centred care and dignity in practice
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing of vulnerable adults
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
* Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
* Medication training, moving & handling, dementia care (if previously completed)
