What is a Volunteer Shop Assistant?
As a volunteer, your role will be to work with the team of paid staff and other volunteers,to ensure our customers have a wonderful shopping experience.
Experience of working within retail is desirable but not essential, it is more important to us that you are keen to make a difference and enjoy working as part of a team.
What's involved?
* Provide a warm & friendly service to our customers
* Assist with shop displays
* Prepare items for sale - hanging, steaming & sizing
* Process cash & card payments
* Process Gift Aid on receipt of donations
* Maintain the cleanliness & appearance of the shop

Friendly & helpful, keen to make every customer feel special. You will be someone who enjoys meeting new people on daily basis and are willing to provide a regular weekly commitment. We really value kindness, honesty, integrity and reliability in our volunteers and staff and in return, we will do our best to provide you with a rewarding volunteer experience.
Time Commitment:
One afternoon or morning per week (Monday to Saturday) -to be agreed at interview
Training Requirements:
Annual e-learning training and a full site induction will be provided
Expenses:
Lunch & travel allowance for shifts 4hrs and more
Age Restrictions:
Volunteers must be aged 16yrs plus
Things to note:
This is a non paid voluntary role
