Swim England, based in Loughborough, is seeking a a Data Business Analyst to join their team.

Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England. We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water safely, and compete in all our sports.

Our vision is of a nation swimming and we strive to inspire everyone to enjoy the water in the way that suits them. We work with our partners to create engaging programmes that enable everyone to be active, have fun and stay healthy through swimming.


About the Role

We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded Data Business Analyst to play a key role in driving performance improvement across Swim England. This role focuses on collecting, analysing and visualising data to provide meaningful insight that supports decision-making, risk management and strategic planning.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will identify process inefficiencies, develop scalable and automated solutions, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement. Your insight will empower leaders with accurate, timely and actionable intelligence that enhances productivity and strengthens organisational performance.


Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

* Work with business areas to identify process inefficiencies and implement data-led solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
* Promote and influence a culture of incremental, continuous improvement across the organisation.
* Partner with stakeholders to understand performance priorities, commercial drivers and reporting requirements.
* Analyse complex performance and financial data, translating insight into audience-appropriate formats.
* Use benchmarking to identify opportunities, add value and improve business performance.
* Provide accurate, real-time insight that supports decision-making, workforce efficiency and productivity.
* Develop and maintain robust data sources and Power BI dashboards.
* Support project working groups to ensure programmes drive measurable business performance.
* Create and deliver a plan to monitor Swim England’s performance against its strategic objectives.
* Maintain and develop industry and technical knowledge to support new ways of working.


Skills and Experience

* Proficiency in business intelligence tools and systems, including Power BI.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen.
* Ability to interpret and communicate performance insight to diverse audiences.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
* Advanced data analysis capability with a clear understanding of organisational application.
* Experience identifying, diagnosing and implementing business process improvements.

Knowledge of the sport sector.

Please note: This role is based onsite at SportPark for a minimum of 2 days a week
