* Hours: Night shifts between 5:50pm – 1:10am with a 20-minute unpaid break

Locations: Felixstowe and Bury St Edmunds – Relief.
Suffolk Mind’s mission is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health, and to assist with this we are looking to recruit two Telephone Support Line Operators (Relief) for our Suffolk Night Owls service.
The Suffolk Night Owls Telephone Support Line is available to anyone in Suffolk (excluding Waveney) who needs emotional support, including those with complex emotional needs and anyone struggling with loneliness, depression or anxiety.
The Telephone Support Line Operations role is to listen, provide emotional support, advice and assist service users who ring the help line for support.
Post 1: Based in Felixstowe - must be available able to cover night shifts as and when required on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays.
Post 2: Based in Bury St Edmunds - must be available to cover night shifts as and when required on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Suffolk Mind does not employ people as part of its pool of casual or part time workers if it knows that they are already contracted to work full time.

Telephone Support line workers are there to listen and support service users. You will be an excellent listener, and provide impartial support and information, in a non-judgemental way.
Key Requirements
Below is a brief summary of the key requirements for this role:
* 2 years’ Experience of working with people in mental health
* experience working with people suffering from mental distress
* experience of providing in a one-to-one setting
* good listening and people skills
* knowledge of the range of local, national, statutory and voluntary agencies with which individuals may come into contact.
