Principal Delivery Manager – collaboration with business leaders, stakeholders, Pulse product team, enterprise architects, finance, third‑party partners and the broader technology organization to align technical delivery with strategic business objectives. Ensures efficient, customer‑ and business‑oriented product and platform development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the end‑to‑end technology ecosystem supporting deployment, operation and optimisation of EV charging infrastructure. Ensure reliability, scalability and security of systems and data flows, enabling a seamless charging experience for customers and operational efficiency for the business.
Manage the Charge Point Management System (CPMS), oversee full lifecycle support of charging assets and maintain interoperability frameworks such as OCPP and OCPI. Act as technical owner of platform integrations, ensuring cohesive operation of charging stations, backend services, roaming partners and customer‑facing applications.
Own the data architecture for EV charging operations, enabling real‑time monitoring, predictive maintenance, performance analytics, billing accuracy and regulatory reporting through well‑structured and reliable data systems. Drive continuous improvement across the technology stack, evaluate emerging EV charging domain standards and lead implementation of scalable solutions that support network growth.
Lead engineering and engineering culture, champion best practices, author strategic design documents, maintain high‑performing products and platforms, and foster a culture of automation, collaboration and operational excellence across engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, mentor and develop members, partner with product, data science and UX design to drive results, and manage vendor relationships to enhance system reusability and resilience.
Ensure software solutions comply with regulatory, security and quality standards, support audit processes and implement controls addressing compliance gaps, monitor regulatory developments and oversee budget planning and resource allocation to align with business objectives.
Qualifications
* Significant experience working across complex, globally dispersed businesses.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
* Expertise in problem‑solving with the ability to analyse complex problems, identify root causes and develop creative and effective solutions.
* Self‑starter capable of handling ambiguity, navigating uncertainty, identifying risks and finding the right people and tools to get the job done.
* Strong adaptive skills to new technologies and processes, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent balance of strategic priorities and tactical execution with solid attention to detail.
* Outstanding communication and influence skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of collaborators and prioritise demands.
* Demonstrable experience in software development, focusing on platform or service engineering with expertise in at least one programming language and developing cross‑platform solutions.
* Expertise in software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.
* Expertise in designing and building complex end‑to‑end software systems optimally delivered and operated in production, with strong understanding of security and privacy best practices and how to monitor, log and alarm production systems.
* Ability to employ empathy and curiosity to build the best possible experiences for users, focusing on delighting customers with amazing user experiences and customer service.
