Job Description Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift
Location: York, PA
Schedule: Monday
Pay: Starting at $26.27 - $31.18 + ($1.50 Shift Premium)
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support our operations by maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
* Inspect, test, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
* Install and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Perform welding, torch cutting, and fabrication tasks
* Operate machine tools to fabricate or repair parts
* Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
* Maintain facility structures, fixtures, and tools
* Operate forklifts and other maintenance-related equipment
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, or general maintenance
* Requires a high school diploma/GED and previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety procedures
* Proficient in using measurement tools and diagnosing technical issues
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Basic PC knowledge preferred
Certifications & Licenses
* Forklift license (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
* Certifications in electrical work, welding, or related fields are a plus
Work Environment
* Industrial setting with moderate noise levels
* Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems and tools
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Regular use of hands and tools; occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, or crouching
* Visual acuity for close work and focus adjustments
