About the role
As a Freight Account Manager in our International Road Logistics team, you will drive new business, nurture customer relationships, and deliver results across the full sales cycle. You’ll work closely with prospects and existing accounts, build tailored solutions, and manage profit growth through effective account management.
Responsibilities
* Generate new prospect leads and new accounts via telephone and face‑to‑face.
* Conduct telesales, B2B face‑to‑face selling, negotiations and presentations.
* Consistently grow gross profit and achieve the targets set in the Account Manager Scheme.
* Achieve sales productivity and revenue targets.
* Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
* Provide customers with accurate and cost‑effective quotations.
* Prepare weekly/monthly sales activity figures as instructed by the Branch Manager.
Qualifications
* Experience in a proactive telesales or cold‑calling sales role, ideally with outbound telesales experience.
* Previous logistics experience is beneficial, but we are open to individuals looking to step into the sector.
* Experience generating own sales leads.
* Experience working to targets and KPIs.
* GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent).
* Strong administration and organisational skills.
* Ability to influence others.
* Full driving license.
