Job Description
We're looking for a Project Manager to join our HMP Glasgow team based in Glasgow. Location: Glasgow - on site. Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Join us on an exciting journey as we deliver the £750M HMP Glasgow project, replacing Glasgow's ageing Barlinnie prison with a modern rehabilitation-focused facility. As Project Manager for the Central Facilities building, you'll be responsible for overseeing a crucial component housing medical, laundry, security and other essential services within this flagship construction project.
Responsibilities
* Leading the successful delivery of your project section, ensuring completion on time and on budget while maintaining safety and quality standards
* Managing subcontractor performance and coordinating with the commercial team on financial reporting
* Overseeing compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
* Developing collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Mentoring and supporting site teams, sharing your expertise to nurture talent and build capabilities
Qualifications
* You have significant experience in delivering projects of substantial value, particularly with large concrete structures and steel frame construction
* You possess strong communication skills and can build collaborative relationships with diverse teams
* You have expert knowledge of delivering full build projects of significant size
* You hold relevant construction qualifications (HND/Degree) and professional membership (CIOB/ICE)
* You have SMSTS certification, CSCS Card, and a driving licence
