As a Band 7 Practice Development Lead the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provides the ideal environment for you to expand your existing skills.
This is for a fixed-term 12 month contract.
We are seeking an experienced Practitioner who has significant post qualification experience working therapeutically as part of the Mental Health Support Team (MHST).
As a registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist, you will work throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland supporting children young people, their families and carers to promote best practice.

Main duties of the job
The MHST is a low intensity service which offers a range of therapeutic interventions to children and young people. This can include 1:1 therapy, group work and whole-school approach.
The Band 7 Practice Development Lead will work closely with the clinical leads and family service managers to support and strengthen pathways and policies within the service.

12. Registered/Regulated Profession eg. Registered Nurse / AHP / Social Worker
13. Degree or equivalent
14. Post registration qualification
15. Evidence of specialist professional knowledge of mentorship, education to Masters level or equivalent
16. Hold an NMC approved or equivalent professional body mentoring qualification.
17. Leadership or management qualification or willingness to work towards
Experience
Essential
18. Significant experience and knowledge of working with
19. people with mental health difficulties.
20. Significant experience of Mental health assessments, risk management plans and patient centred care.
21. Experience in clinical and managerial supervision.
22. Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the clinical area
23. Experience or knowledge in supporting teams to increase accessibility to psychological interventions, for hard to reach families.
Desirable
24. Knowledge or additional learning using CBT or Low Intensity CBT Model of intervention.
25. Experience working in childrens mental health services.
