Your New Role
As a Principal Protection and Control Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design and development of protection systems for a range of grid connection projects. You will be responsible for producing detailed design deliverables, including key line diagrams, protection schematics, SCADA connections, and cable schedules. You will also collaborate with national grid, suppliers and procurement teams to specify equipment and oversee the coordination of sub-contractors. With responsibilities that include tender writing, cost estimation, and stakeholder management, your technical expertise will ensure the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects.
Your Background
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering with experience in protection and control design, particularly for grid-connected projects. You will be well-versed in electrical design principles, with a strong understanding of equipment specification, protection panels, and SCADA systems. Your ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and manage multiple tasks efficiently will be key to your success in this role.
