About the Service
The Haringey Young Adults service supports care leavers aged 16‑25, helping them transition to independence. With a stable workforce of permanent staff, we provide robust housing and employment support, and our Ofsted rating for 2023 was ‘Good’.
About the Role
As a Personal Advisor you will ensure care leavers receive the support needed to achieve positive outcomes, working in partnership with families, statutory and third‑sector organisations.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
 * Deliver high‑quality support to care leavers, promoting positive outcomes during their transition to adulthood.
 * Prepare, update, and implement pathway plans, ensuring parallel planning where needed.
 * Fulfil statutory duties in line with Leaving Care guidance.
 * Work holistically with care leavers and families during transitions and ensure multidisciplinary working when necessary.
 * Support care leavers with complex needs, including mental health, disabilities, parenting, immigration, and involvement with adult services.
 * Identify and understand local financial constraints and apply best‑value principles.
 * Show strong knowledge of care leavers’ challenges and deliver responsive, needs‑led services.
 * Communicate effectively, drive positive change, and build strong relationships with young people, colleagues and partners.
 * Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based assessments and apply Signs of Safety in practice.
