The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 55,000 members who are committed to improving patient care for the 1 million that visit their family doctor every day.
RCGP Scotland is recruiting for a Membership & Events Manager to lead a small team in producing and promoting a well-coordinated programme of learning, engagement and celebration opportunities for our members across Scotland.
As the Membership and Events Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of an annual calendar of online, in-person and hybrid member events, so a background in event planning and management is essential. We're looking for someone who is proactive and detail-oriented with experience of analysing feedback and producing reports.
You should have excellent project management and organisational skills and be comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities including the budget for Scottish event activity, ensuring that events are delivered on time and within budget.
A confident communicator, you will be skilled at building relationships with diverse stakeholders. You will be supported by a team of two Event Coordinators who you will directly line manage, motivating them to deliver a range of activities, all with a member-focus.
The role will report into the National Engagement Manager (Scotland) and will be part of the wider Member Engagement team within RCGP Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and supportive team and in return, the College offers excellent terms and conditions and a supportive environment where you can do your best work.
This role is 35 hours per week and will involve hybrid working with a minimum of two working days in the Edinburgh office in the city centre. Remote working will be considered. We offer flexible working hours Monday to Friday.
