Controls Service Engineer(s)
Telford base: UK wide coverage
to cGBP55k neg dep exp + GBP4,800 car allowance + generous benefits including o/t and pension
Responsibilities
* Recruit two experienced Controls Service Engineer professionals to support Siemens PLC controlled automation solutions both remotely and at customer sites throughout the UK.
* Reporting to the Service Manager and tasked with a combination of planned preventative and reactive service and repair activities, as well as providing out of hours standby support on a fortnightly around support rota.
* Initially provide remote or telephone assistance before escalating repairs to an on-site visit where required.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel as required.
* Maintain excellent organisational and communication skills at all levels, support the activities of fellow team members, and ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation as applicable.
* Complete detailed service action summaries to be retained for future visits as required.
* Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills across multiple engineering disciplines, with emphasis on Siemens PLC fault finding, modification and debugging, and solid hardware fault-finding and resolution abilities (e.g., damaged cable repair or faulty device replacement from spares held at sites).
* Experience: ideally at least 3+ years of Siemens TIA Portal, with Profinet fault finding being distinctly advantageous; experience in highly automated environments also beneficial.

Qualifications
* Proven Siemens PLC fault finding, modification and debugging skills.
* Strong hardware fault finding and resolution capabilities.
* Experience with Siemens TIA Portal (3+ years preferred).
* Profinet fault finding experience is advantageous.
* Ability to work remotely and on customer sites across the UK; full UK driving licence required.
