Job Title: Sales Representative – Handmade Roof Tiles (Made in England)

Location: Lydd, Kent – Travel Required - South East (Kent, London, Essex, Suffolk, Herts, Berks)

Reports to: Director of Sales

Type: Full-time | Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Representative to promote and sell our premium range of handmade English roof tiles to architects, builders, roofing contractors, developers, heritage conservation specialists, and distributors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for traditional craftsmanship, an understanding of the construction industry, and a strong ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

*

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and heritage sectors.

*

Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

*

Develop and manage a robust pipeline of leads and prospects.

*

Represent the brand at trade shows, networking events, and exhibitions.

*

Client Relationship Management:

*

Build strong, consultative relationships with architects, developers, contractors, and merchants.

*

Provide technical guidance on product selection, installation methods, and compliance with building standards.

*

Product Knowledge:

*

Maintain an in-depth understanding of the handmade roof tile product range, including manufacturing processes, unique selling points (USPs), and applications.

*

Educate clients on the benefits of handmade vs machine-made tiles, with a focus on aesthetics, longevity, and heritage value.

*

Territory Management:

*

Manage a defined sales territory or client segment, including scheduled visits, follow-ups, and reporting.

*

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional demand.

*

Collaboration & Reporting:

*

Work closely with internal teams (marketing, production, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction.

*

Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including sales activities, client interactions, and forecasting.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the construction, building materials, or roofing sectors.

*

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

*

Technical knowledge of roofing materials or architectural/building practices is a plus.

*

Ability to read construction drawings and understand basic technical specifications.

*

Self-motivated with a proactive sales approach and strong organizational skills.

*

Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across regions as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

*

Knowledge or appreciation of British architectural heritage and restoration practices.

*

Previous experience selling high-end or artisan building products.

*

Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
