Job Description
A Commercial Designer reviews the commercial performance of products and enhances existing products or develops new products to meet customer needs and drive the best commercial outcomes for Frasers Group. Working with brands such as Karrimor, Gelert, and SoulCal, they research market trends through various media, observation, and brand development. Based on research, they adapt existing products, revise the product mix, or design new products—balancing trend-following with commercial performance.
Key Accountabilities
1. Research, analyze, and develop current products commercially and innovatively.
2. Create, develop, and design new ranges for the relevant brand.
3. Maintain brand consistency across all product groups aligned with brand and customer profiles.
4. Deliver innovative apparel designs that are functional, commercial, and relevant to the brand.
5. Liaise with and support senior designers, factories, and suppliers to ensure clear communication of research, range plans, tech packs, and development.
6. Support and assist junior designers in their development and training.
Qualifications and Experience
* 2-5 years of experience in a design discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Experience in creating artworks and new design formats.
* Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop); experience with AI is a plus.
* Ability to generate ideas and concepts.
* Project management experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
* Experience managing large volumes of SKUs.
