Job Opportunity: Team Manager – SafeguardingLocation: Sand Martin House, Fletton Quays, Peterborough (Hybrid Working)Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to FridayContract: 14 monthsSalary: £45 per hour or 36.07 PAYE (pro rata for part-time hours)We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Manager – Safeguarding to lead and inspire our Children and Families Team in Peterborough. This is a critical role where you will champion the safety and well-being of children and families, while supporting a dedicated team of professionals.About the Role As Team Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Children and Family Workers. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of outstanding safeguarding services, driving quality improvement, and maintaining high professional standards across your team.Key Responsibilities?? Supervision & Development
* Support, supervise, and develop team members
* Identify strengths and areas for growth, implementing effective development plans
?? Service Delivery & Quality Assurance
* Ensure timely, high-quality case planning, allocation, and review
* Oversee service delivery to meet performance and statutory requirements
?? Customer Service & Complaints Management
* Lead on Stage 1 complaints and customer service matters
* Promote a culture of empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism
?? Recruitment & Staffing
* Manage recruitment, retention, and workforce planning
* Ensure the team is fully resourced to meet service demands
?? Safeguarding Leadership
* Serve as a subject matter expert in safeguarding policy, practice, and case law
* Lead multi-agency collaboration to ensure effective outcomes
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
* In-depth knowledge of child development, safeguarding legislation, and statutory guidance
* Proven leadership experience within a Children’s Services setting
* Strong decision-making and analytical skills
* Ability to produce and present formal reports and assessments
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice
* Skilled in delivering high-quality, reflective supervision
