Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a brand new, and truly major public sector contract.
The client is a major government customer, possessing an extensive national estate of offices and corporate facilities. The employer is seeking to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the client's estate is well-maintained.
You will work within a team matrix structure, managing key stakeholder relationships and roles needed to support the overall programme; this includes key customer contacts, contractors, and the wider Account team.
This is a fantastic role for a Sustainability professional to develop on one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.
Key actions include:
* Lead the delivery of sustainability services in line with the contract specification.
* Develop and drive the Sustainability Management Plan, monitor progress, promote achievements, and ensure all reporting is completed.
* Grow and engage with employee champions network.
* Set annual environmental objectives and targets.
* Establish governance framework and engage with senior stakeholders to ensure sustainability plans remain relevant and updated.
* Implement a digital approach to CSR and sustainability reporting across the portfolio.
* Validate carbon data for reporting and publication, monitor performance, and seek external certification.
* Collaborate with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents like the Sustainability Improvement Plan, Carbon Reduction Plan, and Biodiversity Net Gain.
* Design reporting and assurance processes around sustainability, supporting other departments with their objectives.
* Work with the wider Operations Performance team to develop site environmental risk assessments and priorities, collate site data, and undertake site visits as needed.
Requirements from you include:
* Relevant sustainability experience within delivery and knowledge of ISO standards.
* Experience working in a complex matrix team structure is preferred.
