Tiverton HSSU Hub | Sterile Services | Permanent | Part time
£24,358.47 pro rata
22.5 hours per week
Shift pattern: Monday and Tuesday evenings 6pm–2am, and Saturday evenings 6pm–2am. To support higher workloads or staff shortages, additional hours or TOIL may be offered. Enhanced pay applies: 30 percent between 7pm and 7am and 20 percent at weekends. Bank Holidays are paid at double time when required, with time back in lieu.

As a Process Technician at our Tiverton HSSU Hub, you’ll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. You’re organised with good communication skills – and ideally, you’re able to show evidence of sterile services training.
As a Process Technician, you will:
1. Process Medical instruments for surgical operations
2. Learn the importance of sterile instruments from start to finish
3. Help to ensure all instruments are in good working order and learn all their names and uses
4. Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults
5. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
6. Take action to resolve any problems
7. Escalate issues where necessary
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
9. Work with a highly skilled team
10. Full training given
11. Basic computer skills are vital to the role
