The Home
Orchard Lodge is a wonderfully positioned, purpose-built residential care and nursing home in Armagh. Our home benefits from views of the two local cathedrals and the surrounding city from most of the bedrooms, main lounges and all dining rooms.
Here at Orchard Lodge, we offer professional, person-centred residential and nursing care, as well as specialist care for those living with dementia. We are also registered to provide care for young people with physical disabilities.
All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished, with the benefit of en-suite facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home. Our facilities are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the assistance of 24 hour care.
Our kind and compassionate care and nursing teams are fully trained to provide reassuring, compassionate support, companionship and comfort, with the utmost dignity and respect, so that all residents feel safe and secure living in our lovely community.
About the role:
As a Domestic Assistant, you will be a member of the support services team. Your main Domestic Assistant responsibilities will be to maintain the cleanliness of specific areas within the care home to the highest standards. This includes carrying out housekeeping duties efficiently and in a timely manner. Your daily tasks as a Domestic Assistant may involve working in the laundry, ensuring residents' rooms are clean and organised, and making beds when necessary. It is important to have good teamwork skills in this role.

About you:
We are looking for a skilled Domestic Assistant who can confidently maintain high standards of work. You should be able to organise and prioritise your tasks effectively. It's important for our Domestic Assistants to be proactive, flexible, and a great team player. We also value a willingness to learn and grow, as you will need to participate in training activities to enhance your skills and knowledge for a safe and efficient performance in your role.

Desired Criteria
* Previous care home experience
* Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
Required Criteria
* A good standard of both verbal and written English
* Relevant experience for the role
* The Right to Work in the UK
