Teaching Personnel is seeking an Learning Support Assistant to join one of our partnered secondary schools in the Monmouthshire area, where you will play a vital role in creating a calm, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
This is a hands‑on and deeply rewarding role, offering daily variety and the chance to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students aged 11–16 both inside and outside the classroom.
You will support the SRB provision as well as provide general classroom assistance for pupils of all ages and abilities. As a positive role model and trusted 1:1 support, you will be someone pupils look up to—helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who can bring:
✅ Experience in youth work, care, mentoring, or coaching (desirable but not essential)
✅ A calm, approachable attitude in challenging situations
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Understanding of the emotional and social needs of young people
✅ Ability to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or behavioural needs
✅ A genuine passion for helping children succeed emotionally and academically

Requirements (or willingness to obtain)
* Must be 18 or over
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Two professional references covering 24 months
