We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Civil Engineering clients. The role will be based in Waltham Cross and covers schemes across London and the South East.
Responsibilities
* Lead civil engineering schemes from Early Design Involvement (EDI) through to completion—regeneration schemes, junction improvements, energy and rail
* Play a strategic role in the planning and development phases of each scheme
* Oversee site teams and supply chain partners, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution
* Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team and clients to shape and influence project programmes during EDI
* Manage contractual programmes and work closely with the commercial team to maintain accurate cost forecasting
* Mentor and develop team members through coaching and structured training
* Ensure timely procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors to meet project milestones
* Support the Operations Manager in identifying and securing future opportunities across the region
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering multiple civil engineering schemes or leading a major highways project
* A relevant qualification in civil engineering (preferred but not essential)
* Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract frameworks
* Full UK Driving Licence
